Well actually it's not born yet. The web site lays dormant. I am making this post before the website goes live. But "A web site is gestating" sounds bad, which is why I will not say it.
Anyway, I intend to use this blog to provide general updates on what I'm up to, as well as make posts that aren't a good fit for other places (e.g. posts that are too long for microblogging sites, for example)
I probably won't be posting here very often, and will save it as a place for Big, Important Updates and things I don't have a better place for. There's also a very real possibility that I completely forget to use this at all. If you are looking at this post in the year 2028 or something and this is still the only post I have on the blog page: oops. anyway here's chicken
